Google Classroom

Google Classroom will be the distance learning platform that Corpus Christi Catholic School will be using for all grade levels for the 2020-21 school year.  Each student will have a unique username and password that will allow them access to our Google Education Suite.  Just a few of the programs your student will have access to include - Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Classroom, Google Slides, and so on.

Depending on your students age, teachers will use Google Classroom differently and your student's homeroom and special teachers will give students and parents their expectations.  For Example:

 

• Preschool - 1st grade: teachers will not be posting assignments that will be graded,  however they will post announcements, class videos, and activity ideas.  

• 2nd - 8th grade:  teachers will be posting regular assignments that will be turned in and graded digitally.  They will be using more of the Google apps like Google Docs, Google Slides, and so on.

Username/Email & Password

 

The username contains the student's last name, first initial, year the graduate from CCCS, and ends with @ccscatholic.org.

​

Email Example: Kohl Merritt - merrittk21@ccscatholic.org

The student password contains the student's lunch ID number and a few special characters.  This password and username will be given to students on the first few days of school to take home and give to parents.  If for any reason you can not login to your students account, please email Corey Merritt - cmerritt@ccscatholic.com.

Joining a Google Classroom

 

Your student will have a separate Google Classroom for each subject they have.  Teachers will invite students to join their classrooms.  There are no codes needed! 

 

All students/parents need to do is go to www.gmail.com, sign-in using your students google credentials, and check their students email inbox.  You will have separate emails for each class asking you to "join".  Follow the links on the emails.
